“Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming.” Matthew 24:42
We can all see the signs of the times unfolding before our very eyes, and Matthew 24:6-7 states that false christs arising and deceiving many, wars and rumours of wars, nation rising against nation and kingdom against kingdom, famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. Not to mention the severe changes in weather patterns, violent and unprecedented floods, volcanic eruptions, and increasing civil and political unrest.
The Bible clearly tells us that in the last days these signs will appear before Jesus returns. And while we do not know the exact moment Christ will return, we can clearly see the signs of His coming just as the Word of God has declared, therefore, our hearts must be ready. Yet, even as these things unfold, many will turn a blind eye and a deaf ear. Most people continue living as though this world will last forever.
My friend, this world is passing away, and everything in it is temporary. Jesus is coming, and the earth stands at the threshold of eternity. We are living in a time where global events are accelerating at an unprecedented pace. Nations are aligning, systems are shifting, and what was once clearly right is now being called wrong, and what is wrong is being celebrated as right (Isaiah 5:20). As Scripture warns, evil men and deceivers are growing worse and worse (2 Timothy 3:13).
So the question you must ask yourself is this: Where do I stand on the threshold of eternity? Do you know Jesus as your Lord and Savior? The Bible declares that Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6). He is our blessed hope in a world filled with violence, uncertainty, and despair. This life can only offer temporary solutions, because everything on earth is fleeting, but what endures forever is your hope in Christ Jesus and the promise of eternity with Him.
If you do not know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you can come to Him today. Simply pray:
“Heavenly Father, I know that I am a sinner. I believe that Jesus Christ came to earth, died, and took upon Himself my sins on the cross. I believe that He rose again and now sits at the right hand of the Father. Lord Jesus, I ask You to forgive me of all my sins, cleanse me from all unrighteousness, and save me. Come into my life and make me brand new. From this day forward, I choose to serve You and give my life to You. Thank You, Jesus, for saving me. Amen.”
If you have prayed this prayer and believe it with all your heart, you are saved. You are now a citizen of Heaven and a part of the Kingdom of God for all eternity. And one thing is certain, you will never regret it.
